It is said that absolute power corrupts absolutely. Wise words, no doubt. Still, if someone wanted to test that theory out, I could be persuaded to volunteer my services.
Valentina Oso-Fisher
Valentina Oso-Fisher is the seventh bear the player meets after arriving on Cozy Grove Island. She is the mayor of Cozy Grove and the sole real estate agent on the island, and she often asks for help keeping the area looking presentable. She is a Town Spirit.
Valentina's living area is located to the northwest of Francesca's and Patrice's areas and to the north of the player's beach campground.
Appearance[]
Valentina wears a mayor's tuxedo with a mayoral sash, a mayor's tophat, and a mayor's monocle.
The following landmarks are located in Valentina's area: a large fountain, a hat shop, a statue of bears in a boat, a coffee stand, standees of Valentina, some festive balloons, piles of shopping bags and packages, and a few houses.
Biography[]
Valentina first sets the player a few tasks relating to their citizenship paperwork, blaming missing documents on the imps. When she first introduces herself she says she has an assistant named Bruce, but as time progresses she announces that the player is her new assistant. She often asks for help picking up trash, getting coffee, and performing other duties befitting a mayor's administrative assistant.
Valentina does not like the imps of Cozy Grove Island. She worries about the mischief they cause, and what their troublemaking could do to her approval rating. Valentina and Allison Fisher are half-sisters, but it appears Valentina is not a fan of Allison's cooking... or, possibly, not a fan of Allison. Valentina tells that she has supported Allison through "all her little projects," but she does not feel as though she has gotten much in return. There's even a mention of Allison giving Valentina a bagel with push pins in the dough.
Specialty[]
Once the player completes Valentina's third story quest, Valentina opens her decoration store, Decor and More. Valentina's store offers four random decorations for purchase daily. Valentina will also buy most items from the player.
Any items purchased at Valentina's store are sent to the player's mailbox at the start of the next game day.
List of quests[]
Every day, Valentina Oso-Fisher has a chance to give the player a quest, provided she has no quest active. The quest can be started by speaking to Valentina Oso-Fisher.
If Valentina Oso-Fisher is ghostly blue and her area is not colored, she will give the player a story quest. If Valentina Oso-Fisher is colored but her area is not, she will give the player a daily quest. If both Valentina Oso-Fisher and her area are colored, she will not give any quests, but the player can still converse with her to listen to some gossip or occasionally advance her story.
Story quests are untimed and advance Valentina Oso-Fisher's story, allowing the player to learn more about her, fill her heart meter, and restore her memories. Some story quests require the player to collect a lot of resources or help other bears to get quest items. The story quests often give spirit logs as rewards.
Non-story quests have a time limit, do not provide any story development, and give random rewards. There are no penalties for letting a timed quest expire.
Some quests require the player to find items hidden on the island. The hidden objects spawn after the player accepts the quest, with hints on their location provided in the quest menu. If the player has trouble locating the item, they can get a hint from Charlotte Pine for 100.

Chat[]
Every day, when Valentina Oso-Fisher has no quest active, the player can chat with her for some random gossip. Valentina Oso-Fisher can give the player advice or tell a little about herself or other bears.
Chatting with Valentina Oso-Fisher does not advance her story.
After the player chats with Valentina Oso-Fisher once, they can ask her for a hug.
Red is midlevel. Takes some effort but I can handle it. White, green? Piece of cake.
But black tape?
You have to be a Master Bureaucrat to cut through that.
Yesterday I had a nightmare. There were potholes and angry constituents everywhere.
I woke up and was so relieved to be mayor of a town with no roads!
Then came the dry cleaning bills.
Why, I like to loosen the sash and kick back with the latest issue of Mayortrends Magazine.
Or lose myself painting my HO scale model of the Central Business District.
And who doesn't like tenting their fingers as they stare into a gigantic fireplace, plotting their next move?
We politicians: we're just like you!
Who could ever have fun doing that?
Still, if someone wanted to test that theory out, I could be persuaded to volunteer my services.
If I don't appear in control, public faith wavers. Legitimacy is called into question. Soon, chaos and anarchy reign.
I know that sounds pretty metal, but trust me, it's not something you want!
But I've discovered you can skip all that if you just keep the rich folks happy.
And it saves them the trouble of having to cook up a bunch of polls.
Someone wants a public permit, or compensation for a wrongful death? Keep them waiting as long as possible! Invent new laws if you have to!
It's not neglecting your duties as an elected official. It's self-care!
Why can't they see this problem solves itself?! If we run out of fish, the fishers will stop. Simple as that!
Sometimes you just have to let the free market handle these things.
The grog-swilling I can tolerate. But the shanties? That's a bridge too far!
Daily quest lines[]
Coffee[]
Start:
Be a dear and fetch me coffee?
Sounds like a certain assistant needs to bring me some coffee.
Please help me, assistant! I can't possibly get through today without my coffee.
End:
<Ssssssiiip>
Ahh... now I feel 'grounded' again. Get it? Grounds? Oh, never mind...
Critters[]
Start:
As if the imps weren't bad enough already. Do something, assistant!
Economic decline. Crime. Infrastructure decay. Bad parade management.
But nothing's worse than an unchecked insect infestation. Something must be done!
End:
Now leave me to it. These critters have a LOT of paperwork to fill out...
Gold ingot[]
Start:
It lacks 'display gold' in its vaults and windows. Bad for appearances.
A little gold to decorate the town bank's foyer would be great for public morale!
End:
It's important to maintain the illusion of a stable currency, you know.
Needle and thread[]
Start:
Could you gather me some thread and a needle? There's a good assistant.
I can't have another fashion scandal! I need to do some emergency alterations, ASAP!
End:
Hopefully with this, I can stay off the mayoral 'worst dressed' list!
Photos[]
Start:
...too attractive?!?
You know what, don't answer that. Just get me some more promo photos to add to the brochure I'm working on.
And get ready for a stampede of new tax revenue streams--er, I mean citizens!
Cozy Grove today will never be quite the same as tomorrow. See if you can capture a bit of its essence.
End:
You know, these will make fine additions to the promotional brochure.
Okay, this is...this is interesting. / Well. These are certainly very... oh what's the word. Interesting?
Anyway, a deal's a deal. Here's something for your trouble.
Suitcase and wizard hat[]
Start:
'Mayor they said, there's one thing this town desperately needs...
...and that's another public art installation.'
Can't argue with the public! Care to help me gather some supplies for a sculpture?
That's why I've decided to only fund public art made with renewable materials.
As for acquiring those materials...
Well, that's where you come in, my faithful assistant!
End:
I think this will be the art installation that finally puts Cozy Grove on the map... don't you?
Here's your payment for a job well done.
...And if it isn't, I'll say we're in a budget crisis.
You're reliable as ever, assistant! Have this, with the town's thanks.
Mementos[]

Valentina Oso-Fisher, the Mayor Bear, clearly believes in running a tight ship, even if all her residents are dead.
Valentina takes great pride in Cozy Grove and its residents. She works hard to keep up appearances.
Somehow, Valentina has roped you into being her new assistant. Think of it as a phantasmagorical unpaid internship.
Things seem strained between Valentina and her half-sister, Allison Fisher, over the baker's unconventional style.
Feeling dissatisfied after her shopping spree, Valentina seeks something that'll bring her true happiness. A photo of her old motorcycle stirs something in her.
It seems that imps are drawn to negative energy, which explains why Valentina is a frequent target of their pranks. Can she still turn things around?
Valentina is finally at peace with how she died and the fate of the town. Today is the first day of the rest of her afterlife!
Story quests expanded[]
Residency paperwork[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:

Reward:

Valentina is excited to welcome the player to Cozy Grove but she needs them to fill out several forms:
As the Mayor, it's my pleasure to welcome you to Cozy Grove!
Can you feel that extra warmth in the air?
Our town is so inviting, the sun spends a few more minutes here each day.
Our secret? Shhh... it's simple.
"We pay attention to the details.
Now, I've heard you've taken up temporary residence on our fine island! Did I hear right?
This is a perfect town, as long as you don't get hung up on the whole ghost factor.
You don't become an impeccably-charming village by letting any old Scout pitch a tent on your front lawn.
Don't get me wrong! You've been very helpful to our citizens, and we'd love to have you as a resident.
But without any paperwork? That won't do.
I've got the proper forms right here in my.... purse...
Wait, where's it gone?
What a pity... if we can't track down those forms, I can't establish your residency.
If I can't establish residency, I can't give you a welcome packet.
Without a welcome packet, you won't be getting the complete Cozy Grove experience!
And that just won't do! It won't do at all!
Three documents can be found hidden on the island. After the player delivers them, Valentina formally welcomes them to Cozy grove and gives them a spirit wood and a beautiful birdhouse.
Look... I don't want anyone to know that those forms were just lying around in the dirt.
If you would refrain from mentioning it in any reviews, I'd appreciate it.
To show you I'm serious, I'm giving you my personal number. Give me a call, day or night.
My assistant Bruce will answer, and he'll make sure your question is routed to the appropriate committee.
I'll also have him mail you your welcome gift. Hand-crafted by a local artisan! Check in with Postal Bear tomorrow.
In the meantime... welcome home!
Lost paperwork[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:

Valentina lost the player's paperwork again. This time it was taken by imps.
I crossed every 't' and drew little bear-paws on top of every 'i'.
But when I reached the records office, I looked in my purse and your paperwork was gone again!
There's no way I would lose those papers twice.
It's got to be the imps, playing one of their little jokes.
Imps. They're the source of my high blood pressure, and the twitch in my left eye.
WHAT THE #$@&%*! DO THEY WANT WITH THIS TOWN AND WHY WON'T THEY LEAVE FOREVER!?
Sorry, neighbor. That was positively unmayorlike of me. It's just...
Without those three papers, I can't welcome you to our town officially!
The papers can be obtained by chasing and catching three imps. After the player delivers them, Valentina happily proclaims them a certified resident and gives them a spirit wood and a scout book page.
...but I still can't believe you managed to stand up to those imps!
We need more folks with your can-do spirit.
Forget the paperwork. I'm making it official, right now.
By the power invested in me by the dearly departed voters of Cozy Grove...
I hereby proclaim you a certified resident!
I'm sure you've amassed quite a few by now!
A new look[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:
|
1 cozy cap
|
1 cardigan
|
Reward:
|
Decor and More available
|
1 grog mug (next day)
|
1 DuClaw statue (later day)
|
Valentina wants the player's look to match the town theme.
Have I mentioned how much I love your whole Spirit Scout look?
It's so unvarnished. So true to you.
But now that you're a resident of our town... have you considered trying out a few more fashion-forward pieces?
Orange. Yes. I could really see you in orange!
Here's an Orange Winter Scarf to start the outfit. Mr. Kit should have the rest. Can't wait to see it!
She gives the player an orange winter scarf and asks them to get an orange cozy cap and an orange cardigan. Both can be purchased at Kit's Canteen for 250 each. After the player purchases the clothing, they can go back to Valentina to complete the quest and get a spirit wood.
Yes. This new, highly personal style of yours is exactly what we needed in the town color scheme.
Nothing says 'self-expression' like blending in perfectly.
Hmmm... now if only we had some new decorations around town to further accentuate the vibe.
Decorating has practical benefits, like making nearby animals happy. But the aesthetic benefits are priceless!
I'll be sure to let you know if you wear or do anything that clashes with, well, everything else.
This quest also unlocks the access to Valentina's decorations store, Decor and More.
The next day when the player approaches Valentina, she tells them about the town's statue and gives them a grog mug.
Did you see our town's commemorative statue?
Impressive, isn't it?
The original proposal was for the town founder, Grizzwald C. Grove, to appear alone on the bow of a ship.
But what sort of message does that send? Towns aren't built by one bear alone!
No, it's the community that makes Cozy Grove special.
So I made sure that we had all twenty-nine settlers...
...INCLUDING the six-month-old cub born at sea...
all rowing that boat ashore. Together!
Did I have to make concessions? Sure I did.
Did I need to sell a little ad space on the plaque? Yes.
Did I have to mix cornstarch into the building materials to bring the price down? Yes.
(And you do NOT want to know the ratio.)
But I got that statue made. And thanks to me, you can see that everyone is important in Cozy Grove.
Anywho! I was indexing some of the items in the gift shop, and I found this awful mug.
It doesn't match our seasonal theme at all. I think maybe one of the beach bears left it in town.
If you find its owner, please pass it on.
This also unlocks Valentina's second memory and comic.
The next time the player speaks to Valentina, she advertises her services as a real estate agent and gives them her card and a DuClaw statue.
Did you know, there's no investment more prudent than a Cozy home!
Honestly, if I could buy up the whole town myself, I would.
Sadly, the town's bylaws prevent that sort of conflict of interest.
Can you imagine? A mayor, owning the town, writing the rules, and renting it all back to citizens, piece by piece?
Anywho, did you know that in addition to serving as mayor, I'm also a licensed real estate agent?
I can't rent out property here, but I'll happily take a commission!
If you ever want to get out of your tent and into a nice Colonial...
Here's my card, and here's a hand carved wooden bust of my face to remind you of me!

![]() 1 Imp Removal Award
|
![]() 1 red letter (later day)
|
The imps have taken down the signboards Valentina and her assistant Bruce have placed, so she asks for the player's help locating the signs.
It's quite a lovely... day... in the.... errrrrrr...
IT'S ANOTHER #@$%!ing CRISIS IS WHAT IT IS NEIGHBOR!! BLAAAAAARRRRGHH!!!
Oh my, I'm sorry about that outburst!
I'm sure I can explain. And I can do it with the dignity and restraint befitting my position.
So... a few real estate opportunities opened up in our town recently. Lovely!
My assistant Bruce and I put up some signs highlighting those opportunities for lucky buyers.
And then came the imps. Oh, those imps!
They've stolen the signs. And if they put them in the wrong yards...
It could invite a FULL BLOWN REAL ESTATE PANIC!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
...
If you could recover those signs quickly, citizen? Well... you'd have the full support of my office.
Five signboards can be obtained by finding and chasing the imps with question marks above their heads. After the player delivers them, Valentina is overjoyed and gives them a spirit wood and an Imp Removal Award.
Or do I? Hah!
In anticipation of your success, I had Bruce commision a special award for you!
For your swift response to those supernatural pests, I hereby bestow upon you...
The Mayoral Imp Removal Commendation! Only the second of its kind!
It has been ages since I've had the help of such a fine, upstanding Spirit Scout!
Without your efforts, why... this town might not be perfect at all!
A few days later Valentina is excited to tell the player her assistant's position is now open and rushes to make the player her new assistant.
You remember my assistant Bruce, I'm sure.
Well, his position has just opened up!
And exciting... yes! That's the perfect word for the work you'd be doing!
Though I suppose Bruce would.
So... yes, Bruce is absolutely fine! He's just moved on to other opportunities, that's all.
Congratulations on your new position as assistant to the Mayor!
It's a volunteer position, but it's a stepping stone to even bigger responsibilities. Hooray!
You'll be performing all of Bruce's old duties.
For example, solving problems as they arise and balancing my budget.
For some reason, Bruce always had a hard time with the budget...
Your first task? Bruce left this letter on his desk, right next to his resignation.
It's sealed tight. But I'm sure you'll find someone to give it to when the time is right!
Valentina gives the player a red letter. This also unlocks Valentina's third memory and comic.
Mayor's tuxedo[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:
|
Reward:
|
Valentina wants the player to get some new clothing to match their new role as the mayor's assistant.
They were just perfect for your old role as a rag-tag stock-photo citizen.
But now? You're representing *me* out there. You need to dress sharp.
Here's a shopping list, and my credit card...
Whoops, never mind, that credit card's maxed out!
Go ahead and buy those clothes yourself. I'll be sure to reimburse you. Eventually.
Welcome to Team Valentina!
The mayor's tuxedo can be purchased at Kit's Canteen for 900. After the player purchases it and speaks to Valentina again, she gives them a spirit wood.
In fact, it's so sharp, so executive, I worry people will see it and think that I'm working for you.
...And now that I look closer, I see that this is a grizzly cut.
Why, you'd be swimming in that neckline!
Maybe I should hold onto this. Put it in my closet to wear on a special occasion.
It says I care too much about this town to worry about material things.
We have that in common, don't we? We both really care.
Sometimes we almost care too much...
Trash pickup[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:
|
Reward:
|
Velantina says she saw trash on city streets last night and wants to make picking it up a competition between her and the player.
I saw a piece of litter in our pristine streets last night.
That just won't do. It won't do at all.
Valentina
Ten pieces of litter can be found scattered across the island. After the player collects them and delivers to Valentina, she says the player has won the competition and gives them a spirit wood.
I found a candy wrapper, but I didn't want to put it in the public trashcan. What would that say about our city's diet?
So I had to leave town to throw it out. But there are no trash cans in the wilderness!
So here I am with my one piece of trash, plus your ten.
I'll just stuff these under my hat, and discretely dispose of them tonight.
Let me tell you, new assistant... sometimes perfection can be exhausting.
Baked goods[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:
|
Reward:
|
Valentina wants the player to get some snacks for an event.
Unfortunately, there's really only one vendor in town, so...
Would you mind picking up some so-called food from my half-sister Allison?
Valentina asks for three camp churros; they can be cooked by Allison or randomly received as quest rewards. When the player delivers the food to Valentina, she does not seem very pleased.
Is this animal food? Why is Allison baking animal food??
I should have known better than to bring family into this!
I should have imported some nice Alaskan salmon.
Instead I have this locally sourced garbage. It won't do. It won't do at all.
Last time I bought a bagel from her, I found two separate push pins in the dough.
Bears are like everyone else... they like quality.
And unfortunately that's not on Allison's menu.
And all I get in return are goofy smiles and 'inventions' like floor-ham frittata.
She just doesn't see what's at stake!
A tidal wave of imps could bring this gorgeous town, my life's work, crashing down!
And if that happens, my approval rating won't be far behind.
I'm the only one holding this all together, for all the little people. Like Allison. And like you.
The player receives a spirit wood as a reward. Completing this quest also unlocks Valentina's fourth memory.
Key to the city[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:
|
Reward:
|
Valentina looks very worried. The imps have stolen the key to the city, and she wants the player to retreive it.
The worst thing has happened... the imps have stolen the key to the city!
Without it, I can't access city hall!
You may wonder... was it wise to make a giant novelty key that opens all government buildings?
And my answer is...
THAT #&#?@! KEY HAS SMALL-TOWN CHARM AND I #@#*&! REGRET NOTHING, OK???
Sorry, sorry. Keep it civil, Valentina. Keep it electorate-friendly.
Assistant... I have a request.
When you get a moment, would you please STEAL BACK THAT KEY BEFORE THE IMPS BLOW THIS VILLAGE WIDE OPEN??
The key to the city can be obtained by chasing and catching an imp with a question mark above their head. When the player returns the key to Valentina, she thanks them and gives them a spirit wood.
Look at the key... smudged with imp-prints.
I need to get it to a dry-cleaner right away.
Can you dry-clean a key? Do we even have a dry-cleaner in town anymore?
Maybe I should buy a key-cleaning machine.
Thank you for your help. I'll take it from here.
A shopping spree[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:
|
Reward:

Valentina wants to treat herself and asks the player to buy some clothing fore her.
After everything we've been through, I think it's time for us to treat ourselves, don't you?
Pick me up a brand new tux, hat and monocle from Mr. Kit...
...and I'll give you something special in return!
The clothing Valentina asks for can be purchased at Kit's Canteen: the mayor's tophat for 2,000, the mayor's tuxedo for 3,000
, and the mayor's monocle for 1,000
(6,000
in total). After the player brings it to Valentina, she gives them a spirit wood.
Look at how perfect I look in these! These will absolutely do.
Bruce, the bakery, the imps... it was starting to feel like things were spinning out of my control.
But look at me now! Ms. Valentina Oso-Fisher, or Madame Mayor to a few thousand of my closest friends.
How can I look this good and not be in control?
Oh! I promised you something special, assistant. And here it is...
A hand-me-down Mayor's outfit! Only slightly and recently used.
Now you can dress like your role model any time you like!
The player gets to keep the clothing they have purchased after completing the quest.
Gift receipts[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:
|
Reward:
|
Valentina says she has spent too much money recently and wants the player to find the receipts.
I may have gone just a liiiiittle overboard with my spending recently.
For a few minutes, I felt like I owned the world.
But now the bills are coming in, and it turns out the world has a heck of a monthly payment.
I'd pay it off with my other credit cards but, well... most of them have stopped working.
I'm going to need the receipts for all those purchases.
I think they got a little... scattered. Can you help me track them down?
Three gift receipts can be found scattered across the island. After the player collects them and returns to Valentina, she gives them a spirit wood.
Look at everything I bought... suits, various top hats, three commemorative statues...
It feels so good in the moment, purchasing things.
But a day later... I realize I splurged. What a word. Splurge.
So undignified. So unbecoming of my office.
I'm going to do my best to show more mayorly restraint from now on...
A photo[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:

1 photo of Valentina
|
Reward:
|
Valentina realized shopping does not make her happy and asks the player to find something to inspire her.
So I decided to do some reflecting. Do you know what I realized?
I was thinking about that splurge of mine.
Of course it was exciting, buying all those flashy things.
But when it was all over, those things I bought didn't make me happy.
What would make me happy, I wonder?
I've been flipping through catalogs, but I haven't found anything...
Not a single picture of anything that inspires me. Maybe you can help?
The photo Valentina is looking for can be obtained from Arjun Bhalla after completing one of his story quests. When the player brings Valentina the photo, she remembers her old motorcycle.
gasp!
That's... me. Me with a motorcycle!
Could you imagine... me? With the wind blowing through my fur, on the open road...
Not caring what anyone thought or said?
No. It wouldn't do. It wouldn't do at all!
Thank you for the memory! But I think it would be best for me to forget about that cycle.
After all, I have important work to do!
The player receives a spirit wood as a reward. This also unlocks Valentina's fifth memory and comic.
A few days later Valentina shares her new idea with the player.
I'm going to put up a suggestion box for my constituents.
That way they can tell me how much they appreciate everything I do for this town.
I think that will be therapeutic. Don't you?
But if you have any further thoughts on my plan, you're welcome to leave a note in the box.
Once I figure out where to put it, of course...
The stolen suggestion box[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:

The imps have stolen Valentina's suggestion box.
THE IMPS STOLE MY $*#@&%! SUGGESTION BOX!
Help!!!
The suggestion box can be obtained by chasing an imp. When the player returns it to Valentina, she gives them a spirit wood.
Days and days of searching for the perfect spot to put it, and those imps ripped it out within hours.
Ugh. They put a suggestions in it, too.
Let's see...
Please relax. You're stressing us out.
Well, I never! Typical imp rudeness.
I'll make sure to hide this box somewhere that it'll be safe from further offensive suggestions...
Massive shopping spree[]

Valentina asks the player to get her more items.
Look, I'll be honest. My chances of winning the next election are narrowing.
Luckily, I have a plan!
No time to explain it right now. Just please, get me everything on this list.
The deluxe mayor's tophat can be purchased at Kit's Canteen for 50,000, three chocolate galettes can be cooked by Allison Fisher. After the player delivers the items to Valentina, she gives them a spirit wood.
Now here's the plan...
Step one! These hats will make me look great during election season.
Step two! I've always wanted this cookware. Really refined.
And step three... I just really need some chocolate. Even if it means enduring Allison's cooking.
Good, good... for now, I have everything I need.
...except maybe the means to leave this imp-infested town behind.
Scattered suggestions[]
Valentina Oso-Fisher needs:

50 suggestions

Reward:

Valentina's suggestion box has burst, and the suggestions are now scattered across the island.
But they found it somehow. And it started filling up.
Today, it happened. That overstuffed box burst wide open!
Now there are suggestions littering the whole island.
What an embarrassment! What an eyesore! It won't do.
Assistant, I'm asking... not just for me, but for the town.
Would you gather up those suggestions and bring them back for me? Please?
Fifty suggestions can be found hidden on the island. After the player brings them back to Valentina, she gives them a spirit wood.
These all say the same thing.
Let go.
Did the imps...?
No. These suggestions are all signed. By my dearly-departed constituents.
I know all their names. They helped me make this place what it was.
And they watched it fall into decline, while I was helpless to fix it.
You know, I saw hundreds of suggestions burst out of that box...
But when it burst, I didn't feel angry. I didn't feel like yelling.
Honestly, I felt a strange sense of peace.
You didn't gather them all, did you, assistant? Not quite a perfect job.
But you know what? This will do.

Valentina wants to know more about the imps.
Every election, he gives me a sizeable donation.
This afterlife of ours... it's a strange place. Full of riddles and hints.
I wish I had some more information about those imps. Something concrete, from an expert.
Like an opposition report. Or even a pamphlet...
The imp pamphlet can be obtained from Charlotte Pine for completing one of her story quests. After the player brings it to Valentina, she gives them a spirit wood.
The pamphlet reads...
Imps are lost, hungry souls. They skitter through the afterlife, pursuing illusory goals. They are never satisfied.
Imps are drawn into our world by pockets of negative energy,
where they hunger and feed in an endless loop of unhappiness.
That's a sad story. And a familiar one.
Does this mean my perfect little town... is a vortex of negative energy?
I do have to admit... all those details I've fussed over? That I thought might help me sell this village to the rest of the world?
Those things never made me happy. They just made me hold on tighter.
I wonder... what is it that I really need? What would make things better?
Valentina's motorcycle[]

Valentina asks the player to find her a way to let go.
The obsession with a perfect town. The spending. Losing control of the town.
I can't remember how it ended for me.
But I know this... I need to find a way to let go.
I need to find the key to my happiness.
The motorcycle key can be obtained from Lee Berry Dennings by completing one of his story quests. Once the player gives it to Valentina, she tells them about her motorcycle and rewards them with a spirit wood.
The key to my motorcycle.
I remember sitting on a pile of debt, boxed in on every side, fielding calls from angry constituents as the town was sold out from under them...
It was awful. Endlessly awful.
But then one day I saw her, sitting out in front of a dusty garage with a very reasonable price tag.
I knew almost immediately that she and I belonged together. My ride. My Wolfsbane.
Biker outfit[]

1 spirit wood (next day)

1 town deed (next day)

Valentina wants to ride her motorcycle but is unable to do it looking the way she does.
I want to take it out on the road... but something keeps holding me back.
How could I go out on a motorcycle, dressed like this?
It wouldn't do. It wouldn't do at all!
The player is prompted to buy a biker outfit for Valentina. All three items in the outfit are sold at Mr. Kit's Clothes and are more expensive versions of regular clothing. To complete the quest, the player needs to buy the biker shades for 25,000, biker scarf for 75,000, and biker jacket for 100,000 (200,000
in total). Once the player delivers the outfit to Valentina, she is overjoyed and gives them a spirit wood.
DID YOU REALLY JUST GET ME THIS WONDERFUL GIFT?
Wow.
These are completely unlike any of my current clothes.
If I wore these to a campaign event or a dedication, why, I'd be laughed out of the town!
They're absolutely perfect.
The next day Valentina wants to talk to the player before taking her first motorcycle ride.
So before I go... do you want to hear about how my last ride went, a lifetime ago?
I'd ride past boarded up stores, vandalized fountains, statues rusting away... and I'd just keep riding.
The longer I rode, the more I felt at peace.
And then one day, I turned a corner and I saw Clyde Wallace putting up a For Sale sign on City Hall.
And all at once I felt SO $&*#@#! ANGRY AGAIN.
I remember my foot was pressed on the gas, too hard. For just a flash, I realized I was losing control.
Then Wolfsbane went into a skid... and Clyde's eyes sped towards me, going wide.
And that's the last thing I remember.
You are hereby relieved of your duty as Assistant to the Mayor.
You've served the office with distinction... far better than the other assistant who took the job years back!
I may even prefer you to Bruce!
It's time for me to let go now. Please, take this. I don't need it.
See you around town, neighbor!
This conversation rewards the player with a spirit wood and the town deed and unlocks Valentina's final memory and comic. Valentina ascends and turns golden, her area will stay permanently lit and colored. She will no longer give the player story quests; however, she will still occasionally give the player daily quests.
