Obtaining[]
Magic hairball can be obtained by:
- Harvesting from adult cats
- Burning uncommon or rare nightmares with Flamey.
- Skipping stones at dark blue clams
- Cooking 25 mundane hairballs into one magic hairball.
- Recycling one hairball of the Great Goddess into five magic hairballs.
- Caught while fishing
- As quest rewards from Sofia after she obtains Venetian
Uses[]
Unlike other imp or animal essences, magic hairballs are not used in crafting or cooking. Instead, they can be transformed into other essence types by interacting with the cat beckoner inside the player's tent.

Two mundane hairballs can be refined into one happy essence of any type.
