Fall festival is a seasonal event in Cozy Grove that takes place in fall from October 20 to October 31 every year. While the event is active, Ms. Carouse visits the island to offer fall festival themed decorations, clothing, and other items. The player can also go trick-o-treating to get candy, spooky rotten eggs, and other items, summon and catch unique spooky critters, or get the event-exclusive witch cats. All items obtained by the player during the festival are kept by the player after the event ends.
Trick-or-treating[]
Every day, Ms. Carouse will offer the player a quest to dress up in two festive clothing pieces. (The clothing pieces are chosen from either the player's closet or Mr. Kit's Clothes or Wolf Apparel shop inventories.) Once the player dresses up and talks to Ms. Carouse again, she will reward them with a spirit imp essence and a pumpkin. This will also unlock the option to trick or treat while talking to other bears.
After completing Ms. Carouse's quest, the player can approach every bear they currently have on the island (including traveling merchants but excluding Mr. Kit) once per day to get rewards:

![]() | |
![]() | |
Darla O'Hare | ![]() |
Pandam | ![]() ![]() |
The candy collected from the bears can be used to purchase items at Ms. Carouse's shop. Spooky eggs can be used to craft Spooky Critter Scrolls and to lure witch cats. (While the event is active, ten spooky rotten eggs can also be baked at Allison Fisher using 144 regular eggs.)
Once per day, spooky eggs and candy can be obtained by helping or feeding imps or found in a leaf pile.
Bears' reactions[]
When approached for trick or treating, bears will comment on the player's outfit or compliment their effort. Most bears give generic lines, but some have unique dialogue.
Critters[]
A Spooky Critter Scroll can be crafted by Ms. Carouse for ten spooky rotten eggs. While the scroll is in the player's backpack, the player can select and use it to summon up to twenty Halloween critters. The critters will spawn across the island, behave as regular critters, and can be caught using a critter net. The critters will disappear over time, so it is advised to catch them as soon as they spawn.
Halloween critters have no rarity tags and come in nine types: three ground, three scuttle, and three flying critters. Once caught, the critters can be donated to Captain Billweather Snout's collection in exchange for quartz gemstones, used to craft jack-o'-lanterns, or sold to any shop.

Witch cats[]

Witch cats are special type of cats the player can obtain during fall festival, either by purchasing them from Ms. Carouse's shop or luring them in using the cat beckoner inside their tent. One young witch cat can be purchased from Ms. Carouse for 300 candy.
To get the cat using the cat beckoner, the player needs to place one spooky rotten egg and two random food items inside and wait for the day change to find a young witch cat inside. (Since the food used does not matter, it is advised to use raw ingredients because they are the cheapest and commonly available.)
Witch cats like spooky decor and dislike rustic decor. Similar to regular cats, they have a chance to get hungry every day when placed inside the tent and produce hairballs and quartz gemstones when fed.

Crafting[]
Every day while the festival event is active, Ms. Carouse will offer the player to craft four random jack-o'-lantern lamps from the fall festival set and a Spooky Critter Scroll (made with ten spooky rotten eggs). The player can craft as many items as they want, provided they have the required materials. Crafted items appear in the player's backpack immediately.
Unlike regular decorations, jack-o'-lanterns come in three varieties (cute, happy, and spooky), three rarities (common, uncommon, and rare) and three colors (green, orange, and red). They all require pumpkins and Halloween critters to craft. Jack-o'-lanterns are functional lamps and can be placed on the island to expand light to uncolored areas.
