There are a few places where language is used in ways that aren’t entirely clear, or situations that commonly cause uncertainty for the player. Some of the most common examples of this are described here.

While Mr. Kit's shop delivers most items instantly, some other shops on the island deliver at the start of the next day, which happens at 5:00 AM.

Most of the time when the player crafts items with Jeremy Gruffle, the 'exchange rate' is one set of materials for one decoration item. However, when crafting fences the player crafts a "set" of 20 fences. Unlike crafting, fences can only be purchased one at a time from shops. Fence posts cannot be recycled with Francesca DuClaw.

Lantern[]

Differences: The lantern feature was turned off on consoles (XBox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch) as it caused performance issues.
On most game platforms, the player carries a lantern with them at night. This does not have the same effect as a lantern casting light into an area, it is simply a visual effect.
