Decorations are items the player can place on the island or inside their tent to increase the mood of their pets, flowers, or fruit trees and bushes; expand lighted areas; or simply for cosmetic purposes. Decorations can be purchased from shops or crafted at Jeremy Gruffle's Maker Bear Workshop.
Decorations are generally labelled by type (table, lamp, etc.), decor (bustling, cozy, etc.), rarity (common, rare, etc.) and series (astronomy, graveyard, etc.) but a few decorations are unclassified.
When the player buys or crafts a decoration, the color of the icon for the item shows its rarity: brown for common, green for uncommon, blue for rare, purple for ultra rare, red for epic, black for legendary, and yellow for mythical.
Obtaining decorations[]
Decorations can be purchased, crafted, or occasionally received as quest rewards from resident bears.
Shopping[]
Several shops offer decorations for sale. Kit's Canteen and Decor and More have a random selection of decorations that refreshes daily. Valentina's Decor and More has four random decorations per day; Kit's Canteen offers two to six decoration items daily depending on its upgrade level. Pandam's Popup Shop is open every Wednesday and offers six random decorations at a discounted price.
The prices of decorations sold at Decor and More, Kit's Canteen, and Pandam's depend on the type of decoration and its rarity.
Clyde Wallace's Wolf Goods has exclusive imp decorations for sale for Wolf Coins or, later in the game, regular coins.
The items purchased at Decor and More will be delivered to the player's mailbox at the start of the next game day. The decorations purchased from other shops appear in the player's backpack immediately.

Crafting[]
Jeremy Gruffle can craft decorations for the player if they know the recipe and provide the required materials. The Crafting mechanic is unlocked once the player completes Jeremy's second story quest. All crafted items appear in the player's backpack instantly.
Several recipes for common log cabin items are available by default, and the player needs to obtain and learn more crafting recipes to be able to craft new items. Crafting recipes can be caught while fishing (one recipe per day) or received for completing any daily quest for the bears. Selecting the recipe in the backpack and learning it instantly makes it available in Jeremy's shop.
During winter and fall festivals the player can also craft seasonal decorations with Ms. Carouse.
Other sources[]
Some story and daily quests reward the player with random decorations.
Scoutmaster Blake sends the player a decoration attached to each of his letters.
Dyeing decorations[]
Any decoration the player owns can be recolored by Francesca using dyes crafted in her shop Dyes To Die For. The dyes are crafted using tins of flower pigment and come in three rarities; the dye's rarity determines the items used to craft it and the decorations it can be applied to.
After crafting a dye of their choice, the player can dye any decoration they have in their backpack or storage by talking to Francesca, selecting the option to dye items, choosing the project rarity (corresponds to the rarity of the dye used), and then selecting the item they wish to recolor and the dye they want to apply in the dyeing interface.
Most decorations can be dyed. Mythical decorations and fences cannot be dyed at all. Once a decoration is dyed, there is no way to return it to its original color; however, the same decoration can be redyed multiple times.
Dyed decorations do not stack even they are the same items with the same dye applied.
During the spring festival, Ms. Carouse also offers some exclusive orchid dyes to craft.
Placing decorations[]
The player can select a decoration item in their backpack and start placing it by choosing the appropriate option. Once the player chooses to place the decoration, a placement grid appears that shows the size and position of the item the player's currently holding and the available space. Lamps and torches also show the radius of light they emit if activated.
Once the player places a decoration, they can interact with it to rotate or to move it.
While most decorations can be placed anywhere on the island (including inside the player's tent), some decorations are outside or interior only:
- Lamps and torches can only be placed outside.
- Front gates can only be placed outside.
- Windows, wall shelves, and kitchens can only be placed inside the player's tent along the walls. The full list of these decorations can be found in Interior only category.
Effects[]
Plants and animals[]
Decorations can be placed nearby the player's pets and fruit and flower plants to increase their yields. Animals and plants have their likes and dislikes: their heart meter will rise when they are placed near the items they like and fall when they are near the items they dislike. The higher the heart meter is the more resources are harvested at a time.
All fruit and nut trees, flower plants and bushes, and berry bushes have the same likes and dislikes regardless of their variety, while the likes and dislikes of pets vary depending on their appearance.
Overall preferences are:
- By type:
- Bustling decor is liked by some pets and disliked by berry bushes and fruit trees.
- Cozy decor is liked by some pets, nut trees, and all potted flower plants.
- Natural decor is liked by some pets, all fruit trees, and all flowering bushes.
- Rustic decor is liked by some pets and all berry bushes and disliked by all potted flower plants.
- Spooky decor is liked by some pets and disliked by all nut trees.
- Lamps are liked by fruit trees, berry bushes, flowering bushes, and potted flower plants.
- Ornate pets like any decorations.
- No outdoor pets or plants like or dislike fun decor.
- Cats can like or dislike any type (or several types) of decor.
- By rarity:
- Some pets like rare decorations.
- Fruit trees like legendary and epic decor.
- All flower bushes dislike common items.
- Some pets dislike common or uncommon decorations.
Light[]
In addition to being liked by pets and plants, lamps and torches can be placed in or near a colorful lit area to expand the said area. The radius of light emitted from the lamp increases with its rarity. Lamps can be chained around the island to light up more areas.
Imp decorations sold at Clyde Wallace's shop act like common lamps.
Recycling[]
Most decorations can be recycled by Francesca DuClaw to gain some materials used for crafting them. When recycled, most decorations return one of each materials used to craft them.
Fenceposts return no materials except when recycling more than twenty fenceposts at a time.
