Cozy Grove is divided into the four traditional seasons -spring, summer, fall and winter- with the addition of "early" and "late" concepts. This gives the game a total of twelve game seasons:
- Early spring, spring, late spring
- Early summer, summer, late summer
- Early fall, fall, late fall
- Early winter, winter, late winter
Each traditional season starts on the 1st day of the month so spring starts on March 1st, summer on June 1st, fall on September 1st and winter on December 1st.
Season by month[]
Every month is associated with two game seasons: months which begin a traditional season -March, June, September and December- are part of both the early period of their season and the late period of the previous season. Months which are in the middle of a traditional season-April, July, October and January- are part of both their season and the early period of their season. Months which end a traditional season -May, August, November and February- are part of both their season and the late period of their season. This gives the following:
- January: early winter and winter (also late fall for fish only)
- February: winter and late winter (also late fall for fish only)
- March: late winter and early spring (also winter for fish only)
- April: early spring and spring (also winter for fish only)
- May: spring and late spring (also early spring for fish only)
- June: late spring and early summer (also early spring for fish only)
- July: early summer and summer (also late spring for fish only)
- August: summer and late summer (also late spring for fish only)
- September: late summer and early fall (also summer for fish only)
- October: early fall and fall (also summer for fish only)
- November: fall and late fall (also early fall for fish only)
- December: late fall and early winter (also early fall for fish only)
Seasons and resources[]
Seasons determine the types of berries, fruit, nuts, bush flowers and shells the player can find or buy. However, the type of resources also determines whether it is closely or loosely season-dependent. For example, berries are usually available during three months whereas shells are only available during two.
During one month, the player can usually get two kinds of berries, five different fruit, one kind of nut, 30 bush flower variants, 60 different fish and 60 different shells.
Festivals[]
The festivals in Cozy Grove are seasonal events that are only active during specific dates. While a festival event is active, Ms. Carouse visits the island to offer seasonal wares and activities.
